Simple Male Card Idea

Good Morning Everyone ~ Today’s card uses some retiring product to create my Simple Male Card Idea.

Well yesterday did not go as planned.  I had the fireplace guy come out to set up my fireplace.  He had to go into the attic to turn the gas on to the fireplace.  He came down a little later and said there was a faint hint of gas and they he did not want to turn on the fireplace.  We went outside and he turned off the gas to my house.  That meant no hot water.  I had called the builder and he had the gas man call me.  He came out around lunch time and went into the attic and found a tiny leak in one of the threads on the valve.  He fixed it and hopefully I will not have any more issues with gas leaking.  I had plans on cleaning my bathrooms so I had to switch gears.  I decided to clean my floors today and the bathrooms tomorrow.  I got my floors cleaned and then had to take a shower.  I had plans to go to a Newcomer’s group meeting in the evening.  Since I am wrote this yesterday afternoon I will let you know how the meeting went tomorrow.

My card today began by using the Timeless Textures stamp set and I paired it with the Best Route designer series paper.  I cut a piece of the bicycle paper at 2 1/2″ x 4″ and then cut in half diagonally.  I attached this to the bottom of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Whisper White.  Then using the dots from the stamp set and Grapefruit Grove ink, I stamped the dots along the diagonal line of the cut designer series paper.  Using a post-it note, I masked off the top of the dots and used the grid stamp from the set and stamped it using Night of Navy up the left hand side of the panel.  This panel was added to a Grapefruit Grove card base.  To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings in Night of Navy onto Whisper White.  The 1″ circle punch was used to punch it out.   I also punched out a 1 1/4″ circle from Night of Navy.  The 2 circles were layered and then added to the card base using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Simple Male Card Idea creation.
